Events at Sandbar & Restaurant

 

Thank-you for your enquiry to host your event or wedding at Sandbar & Restaurant. We have a beautiful location overlooking Shaw’s Bay with a room that can be dressed up as formal or casual as you like. The main dining room can seat up to 90 guests with a deck available to host canapés and cocktails. We are able to host a larger party for a stand up event, up to 110 pax. Our chef Nicolas Gomez, has the ability to create exciting menus for you and is willing to discuss any special requirements or ideas that you may have. We understand the importance of your event and will take pride in making it the best day that it could be. 

We will be happy to discuss and design beverage packages to cater for your wedding. Should you have something specific in mind we will be able to cater for it. We have premium wines, liquors and champagnes which are available to add to your list for your special evening. As we are licenced, we are not able to cater for BYO during any functions. 

To avoid any disappointment bookings are not guaranteed until the booking fee is received. Upon confirmation of bookings a $500 booking fee is required. Final numbers must be received three days before the event (these are the minimum numbers that will be charged for) Catering must be paid for three working days prior to your reception. Beverage accounts will be settled on the conclusion of your event. Booking fee payment will be deducted from your beverage account on the day. Accounts settled by credit card will attract a merchant fee equivalent to the fee charged to us by the provider. The prices quoted are pertinent until the end of 2010.  

  A minimum number of guests or a subsidy will be required to book the entire restaurant on Saturday night and peak times. For events and weddings during off peak time, lunches and mid week these can be discussed as required.

Room Hire - if you require the room to be decorated by us or the furniture to be removed from the restaurant there will be a charge for this.

Cancellations – 100% of your booking fee will be refunded if the cancellation is more than 60 days notice. 50% of booking fee if 30-60 days. If the cancellation is less than 30 days your booking fee will not be refunded.  

Responsible Service of Alcohol – our restaurant is required by law to practice responsible service of alcohol at all times. 

Entertainment – We do allow live music, please call to discuss this further. Your ipod can be played through our speakers or jukebox hire is available.

Linen: if linen is required for the tables a hire fee may be necessary, this can be discussed for quantities needed. 

Hire Equipment, Flowers: a local wedding planner is available to organise colour schemes, chair covers, flowers and extras required for the special day. 

Cakeage: a fee of $2.50 per plate will be charged for plating your cake with cream and couli if desired. 

If menus and seating cards are desired the printing will be organised by you.
